James Yen holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Accounting from the University of Missouri. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he worked across accounting, audit and assurance, consulting, and tax services. His engagements included corporate accounting work for one of PwC’s major real estate clients, where he managed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and federal and state tax filings. His day-to-day work included researching and resolving complex corporate accounting issues across multiple business lines and offshoot assets, as well as deep work in income tax accounting and reporting standards.
At PYE MGMT, James heads the payroll division, where he is highly versed in union, federal, and state labor rules and their application across union and non-union payrolls and wage rates. His Big Four background also makes him the firm’s go-to resource for complex tax matters and technical accounting questions across client engagements.
